Summit Roofing – Text Message Consent & Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Summit Roofing (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your mobile phone number when you sign up to receive text messages from us, what your rights are, and how you can opt-out.

By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive text messages from us, you accept the terms of this policy.

2. What You Are Consenting To

By entering your mobile number and opting in, you are giving the Company your prior express written consent to receive marketing and service-related text messages (SMS) from the Company at the number you provide and serving the geographic region of Georgia. This includes (but is not limited to) messages about:

  1. roofing services, inspections, estimates, promotions, special offers, reminders, job updates;

  2. calls or messages delivered using an automatic telephone dialing system (ATDS), auto-texting technology, or prerecorded/artificial voice (if applicable).

Your consent is not a condition of purchase or service. You may refuse to provide consent and still receive service from the Company.

For marketing text messages sent to mobile numbers, the TCPA requires prior express written consent.

3. How to Opt-In

You may opt in by submitting your mobile phone number via our website, text message (for example replying “YES”), in-person sign-up, or other methods that clearly indicate your desire to receive text messages. At the time of opt-in, we will disclose:

  1. that you are consenting to receive text messages from us;

  2. that consent is not required as a condition of purchase;

  3. approximate message frequency up to 8 messages per month

  4. possible message and data rates may apply (carrier fees).

4. Message Frequency & Costs

We may send you up to 8 messages per month unless you opt out sooner. Message frequency may vary depending on your interactions with us. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier’s terms.

5. How to Opt-Out

You may revoke your consent and stop receiving text messages at any time by following any of the below methods:

  1. Reply “STOP” (or the word “STOP” alone) to any text from us.

  2. Reply “UNSUBSCRIBE”, “CANCEL”, or “END” (or other reasonable indication) to opt out.

  3. Contact us at 770-545-5244 or info@summitroofingga.com and request removal from our text list.

We will honor your opt-out request as soon as practicable. After receiving your opt-out, you will receive a one‐time confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed; no further marketing texts will be sent after that.

6. What Information We Collect

When you opt in, we collect:

  1. Your mobile phone number.

  2. Your name and any other contact information you provide (email, mailing address).

  3. The date, time, and method of your consent.

  4. The content of your consent (i.e., the message or form showing you agreed).

7. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Send you text messages as described in Section 2.

  2. Respond to your inquiries.

  3. Manage our text message program (including opt-out management, tracking message delivery, auditing compliance).

  4. Improve our services, analyze message performance, and ensure message relevance.

We do not sell your phone number or share it with unrelated third parties for their marketing purposes, unless you explicitly agree. (We may share with service providers who assist us in sending texts under contract and bound by confidentiality.)

8. Compliance with Georgia Law

In addition to federal law (TCPA), Georgia’s amended telemarketing law (SB 73) prohibits any person or entity from making or causing to be made any telephone solicitation (including mobile text) to any residential, mobile, or wireless subscriber in Georgia who has given notice of objection. SB 73 also expands liability to include parties who cause solicitations to be made on behalf of another.

You acknowledge that we will comply with all applicable state and federal laws, including honoring any Georgia Do-Not-Call/Do-Not-Text list and implementing required procedures.

9. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the security of your personal information. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of electronic transmissions or storage.

10. Retention

We will retain records of your consent (opt-in) for at least the period required by law (e.g., the statute of limitations under the TCPA).

We will also keep records of any opt-out requests to ensure you are not sent further marketing messages once you have unsubscribed.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website and indicating the “Effective Date”. Your continued participation in our text message program after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated policy.
